BOTAŞ FSRU arrives in Turkey

BOTAŞ Petroleum Pipeline Corporation has taken delivery of the Ertuğrul Gazi, an ABS-classed floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU).

 

Hyundai Heavy Industries in South Korea built the 295-metre (968-foot) long ship, in accordance with the ABS Guide for Building and Classing LNG Regasification Vessels.

 

It is currently undergoing final regasification trials on site before starting operations.

 

The Ertuğrul Gazi has a gasification capacity of 28 MMcm/d (990 MMcf/d), among the largest for an FSRU, according to ABS, and an LNG capacity of 170,000 cubic metres (6 MMcf).

 

It is designed to trade internationally as required.
