IOOC reviewing IOR measures for Persian Gulf oil field

Iranian Offshore Oil Company (IOOC) is looking to raise the recovery rate from Soroush, one of Iran’s largest offshore oil fields (IOR is Improved Oil Recovery).

An official from the Faculty of Oil and Gas Engineering of Sahand University of Technology, speaking to news service Shana during the 25th Iran Oil, Gas, Refining and Petrochemical Exhibition, said the target was a 4% increase to 10% recovery, most likely via polymer injection.

Discussions continue between IOOC and Sahand University on the development programme.
