Mubadala adds two wells at Manora field offshore Thailand

Tap Oil has issued results of the latest development wells on the Manora oil field in the G1/48 concession in the Gulf of Thailand, operated by Mubadala Petroleum.

The programme, which started on the 9th July, involved batch drilling of the upper-hole sections of three wells followed by drilling of the reservoir sections.

MNA-24H, a horizontal well drilled from the Manora platform, reached TD of 2,216 metres (7,270 feet), with petrophysical interpretation of well logs indicating total pay within the horizontal lateral of 155 metres (508 feet) and an average 28% porosity.

The lateral was completed with a sand screen and an electrical submersible pump, testing 1,033 b/d.

MNA-23H, another horizontal well from the platform, had a TD of 2,216.1 metres (7,270 feet) with 197.8 metres (649 feet) within the horizontal lateral and 30% average porosity. It was equipped with a similar completion and tested 945 b/d.

The rig has since skidded and re-started drilling of the MNA-22 well.
