NorSea UK Invests £400,000 in Aberdeen HQ

A leading provider of integrated logistics solutions has invested almost £400,000 in its UK headquarters in response to an upturn in demand from the market.

NorSea United Kingdom operates from its headquarters in Aberdeen’s Altens Industrial Estate from where the privately-owned company provides supply bases and integrated logistics solutions to the energy and other industries.

Part of the 55-year-old Norwegian-owned NorSea Group, NorSea UK has reported steady growth since its creation in 2014, and a recent regionalisation strategy with NorSea Denmark has provided another catalyst for growth by increasing autonomy to use group knowledge and capitalise on market opportunities.

As well as resurfacing work to the 17,000m² Aberdeen yard, the fabric of the building has been upgraded and the 1,200m² office facilities have been refurbished to provide modernised, energy efficient premises.

Commenting on the news, Norsea UK Country Manager Karen Russell said: “This investment is important in helping us to build on relationships with current customers and welcome new ones on board.

“Wherever possible, we seek to develop our interactions from a tenant/landlord position to partnerships where we can work together to add mutual value.

“We are also particularly pleased that, in an increasing number of cases, warehouse and office space is being utilised by clients together as customers become busier and move away from so-called ‘dark’ storage with little movement of goods to an increased volume of flow and number of dispatches.”

In addition to the Aberdeen base, NorSea UK also operates recently-expanded bases at Peterhead’s Smith Quay and Merchants Quay.

Across its operations, the company aims to deliver high-tech, innovative and complete supply chain solutions which are tailored to customer needs.
