POGC head outlines South Pars gas targets

Gas production from the South Pars field in the Persian Gulf should increase by 60 MMcm/d by end-March 2020, according to news service Shana.

Mohammad Meshkinfam, CEO of Pars Oil and Gas Company, said that five new platforms would become operational in the field during the intervening period.

Two are for the Phase 14 development: each has 500 MMcf/d of production capacity.

Production from Phase 13 will rise by 500 MM/d once a new platform becomes operational, he added.

Further supplies from phases 22 to 24 should lift total output from the field by one bcf/d, he concluded.
