TGS to bolster multi-client survey offshore Timor-Leste and Australia

TGS has announced the reprocessing of Kyranis 3D, a large cross-border multi-client seismic survey covering blocks in current exploration licence rounds offshore both Timor-Leste and Australia.

The 9,024 square kilometre survey will provide 3D broadband PSDM imaging for the first time in an area which has recently re-opened for exploration following the ratification of the Maritime Boundary Treaty.

Timor-Leste and Australia have now officially resolved their disputes over maritime borders in the Timor Sea in summer 2019, setting the pathway for the development of the Greater Sunrise offshore gas and condensate fields and for Carnarvon’s Buffalo offshore oil field.
