ConocoPhillips awards offshore Norway intervention contract

ConocoPhillips has contracted Archer A/S to provide wireline services on fields offshore Norway for five years, starting in the current quarter.

 

According to Archer, the deal makes it the largest mechanical intervention company operating on the Norwegian continental shelf in terms of contract backlog NOK 3.5 billion (US$413 million).

 

The company added it was pursuing new technology and digital solutions for well simulations and remote support, to enhance efficiency of operations and to minimise its environmental impact.
