Eni expanding development of block 15/06 offshore Angola

Eni plans to initiate the Ochigufu and Vandumbu field developments in block 15/06 offshore Angola during 1the first quarter 2018 and the second quarter 2019, respectively.

These projects, and a new submarine pumping system due to be launched in the second quarter 2018, will add 54,000 b/d to current production levels from the block.

In February, the company started production five months ahead of schedule from the East Hub development project, which in combination with the producing West Hub field, raised output from the block to a plateau of 150,000 b/d.

Angola’s government has also extended exploration rights for the block until 2020.

Eni plans to fast-track development of any commercial finds that follow through the existing infrastructure.
