First topsides module in place for offshore Israel FPSO

The first topsides module has been lifted onto the FPSO Energean Power hull at Sembcorp Marine’s Admiralty Yard in Singapore.

According to Energean, which will use the vessel to initially produce gas from the Karish field offshore Israel, the 850-metric ton (937-ton) electrical house (E-house) contains all the FPSO control equipment and electrical switchgear.

Jurong Marine Services lifted the structure into place on the 24th August using the L-801 barge’s pontoon crane, with lift preparation starting early in the morning and touchdown on the hull following early in the afternoon.

The Energean Power, which will be located 90 km (56 miles) offshore, will have a gas treatment capacity of 800 MMcf/d and a liquids storage capacity of 800,000 bbl.
