Iran cuts platform maintenance times
Pars Oil and Gas Company (POGC) has completed annual overhaul operations on 22 offshore platforms at the South Pars gas field in the Persian Gulf.
The programme, which lasted 160 days, was designed to sustain sufficient gas supply to meet Iran’s needs during the different seasons.
POGC official Hadi Fakhrzadeh told news service Shana that on average, overhaul operations for each platform had been reduced from 17 days in 2009 to seven days in 2019.
