Echo Re hires ex-Verto deputy CUO Griffiths to lead marine and energy
Swiss reinsurer Echo Re has brought on board ex-Verto Syndicate 2689 deputy active underwriter Tim Griffiths as head of marine and energy underwriting.
He has also worked for companies such as Endurance/Sompo International, Aon and Guy Carpenter. He was most recently involved with ex-Verto founding CEO Peter Mills’ new start-up Pyrrhic Re, although he left that venture in August after less than a year.
IMA Taps Bryan to Lead Energy Group in New Houston Office
Insurance brokerage IMA Inc. has opened its Houston office and appointed Ricky Bryan as executive vice president, director of Houston Energy.
Mr Bryan joins IMA after 15 years in leadership roles at Marsh JLT Specialty as senior vice president and as director at John L. Wortham & Son.
Throughout his career, Mr Bryan has worked with the nation’s largest downstream and midstream energy companies, excelling in complex property placements for oil, gas and petrochemical clients.
“The opening of the Houston office follows IMA’s acquisition of ESS NexTier, an energy-focused brokerage in Pennsylvania earlier this year and our energy-centred expansion into Fort Worth in late 2019,” IMA Inc. President Bob Reiter said in a media release.
Houston office joins IMA’s 800 associates working across Colorado, Kansas, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Texas.
Lockton Re adds Guy Carp’s Massingham to marine & energy division
Reinsurance intermediary Lockton Re has added Guy Carpenter’s Andy Massingham as a senior broker in its London-based marine and energy division.
