Perenco reported to be considering sale of North Sea gas fields

According to a report in ‘The Telegraph’, Perenco is preparing to sell a swathe of North Sea fields in one of the basin’s biggest deals in recent years.

French energy giant Perenco, which produces around 15 percent of the UK’s domestic gas, has hired advisers to navigate its North Sea exit.

Industry sources told ‘The Sunday Telegraph’ that Perenco is willing to sell its southern North Sea gas fields, which produce around 90,000 barrels a day.
