Tulip to step up drilling in North Sea Q10-A area

Tulip Oil has issued an update on its Q10-A gas field development in the Dutch North Sea, which came onstream last year via a newly built platform.

During the fourth quarter of 2019 production totalled 258 MMcm. Tulip is using data from all four producing wells to calibrate the reservoir models.

Preparations are under way for two new wells and the company has drafted conceptual development plans for additional drilling targets near Q10-A.

These are mainly reservoirs that have been drilled previously and flowed gas to surface, similar to Q10 prior to Tulip’s 2015 ‘discovery’ well.
