P&I club Gard has named Marie Kelly vice president and head of the defence team in London.
Lloyd’s appoints Angela Crawford-Ingle to the board
Lloyd’s has appointed Angela Crawford-Ingle as a new board member who succeeds Richard Keers as chair of the audit committee. The appointment is effective immediately.
London Market Group appoints new chairman
The London Market Group (LMG), which represents the insurance and reinsurance market in London, has appointed Matthew Moore, CEO of Liberty Specialty Markets, as its new chairman with effect from the 1st May 2020.
He will succeed Andrew Horton, CEO of Beazley, who has held the role for two years.
Lloyd’s Market Association appoints underwriting director
The Lloyd’s Market Association (LMA) has appointed of Jane Hayes as underwriting director, effective the 2nd February.
Ms Hayes will play a key role in working with the Corporation of Lloyd’s, LMA’s members and the market in developing revised underwriting standards as part of defining the modernised syndication model, which is a priority of the Future of Lloyd’s, the transformation programme initiated by Lloyd’s CEO John Neal.

Castel Underwriting Agencies has appointed Raoul Carlos as head of specialty. The appointment comes as the managing general agency (MGA) formation platform restructures its underwriting cells and MGAs into a number of “centres of excellence” focused on core classes of business.
Carlos will lead the specialty centre of excellence and will be responsible for the strategy and execution of underwriting performance and portfolio management for seven classes of business. He joins from Arch International
