Aker BP to tie back Hanz discovery to Ivar Aasen

Aker BP and partners have sanctioned development of the Hanz oil and gas discovery in production licence (PL) 028 B in the Norwegian North Sea. The discovery will be tied into the Ivar Aasen platform about 12 km further south.

 

Development will include one production well and one water injection well, and reuse of the subsea production systems from Jette field.

 

Total investment is estimated at NOK 3.3 billion. Start-up is expected in first-half 2024. Total reserves are estimated at around 20 MMboe.

 

Aker BP is operator (35%). Partners are Equinor (50%) and Spirit Energy (15%).
