Chevron cancels sale of Bangladeshi units
Chevron Global Ventures Ltd has cancelled plans to sell its wholly owned indirect subsidiaries in Bangladesh to Himalaya Energy Company Ltd of China, according to press reports.
Chevron disclosed its intention to sell the units last April.
The subsidiaries produced 720 MMcfd of natural gas and 3,000 b/d of condensate net to its interests in 2015 from Bibiyana, Jalalabad, and Moulavi Bazar fields in the north-eastern part of the country.
