SDX reports West Gharib discovery, Egypt
SDX Energy Inc has encountered 151 feet of net heavy oil pay across the Lower Miocene age Yusr and Bakr formations, with an average porosity of 18%.
The Rabul 5 well is first of two development wells the company is drilling in the West Gharib concession in Egypt this year.
The well was drilled to 5,280 feet TD and the company expects to complete the well as a producer connected to the central processing facilities at Meseda.
The company will move to the Rabul 4 location after completion.
