Secured permit advances 2020 drilling campaign for Indonesia Energy

Indonesia Energy Corporation Ltd (IEC) has obtained a key permit to initiate its 2020 drilling campaign at in the 63,000-acre Kruh Block onshore Sumatra.

 

The company’s Technical Programme and Drilling Budget was approved by Pertamina, Indonesia’s state-owned oil and natural gas company, which also granted IEC the permit to begin the bidding process to secure drilling contractors.

 

IEC has started the process to secure a drilling rig, drilling goods, and other services needed to begin its plan to drill six new wells – at a cost of US$1.5 million each – when its operatorship at Kruh renews in May. These activities are expected to be completed in this year’s second quarter.

 

On the 1,000,000-acre Citarum Block in West Java, 16 miles south of Jakarta, IEC has been granted a permit to begin a 2D seismic survey acquisition programme designed to help the company predict the reservoir extent and select drilling location for delineating gas discoveries.
