Sleipnir preparing to install Tyra topsides offshore Denmark

The three Tyra East wellhead and riser topsides have arrived at the Tyra field in the Danish North Sea, according to partner Norwegian Energy Company ASA (Noreco).

Earlier this summer, the heavy transport vessel BigRoll Beaufort sailed from the Sembcorp Marine construction yard in Singapore with the three topsides, headed directly to the TotalEnergies-operated Tyra field.

The 16,000-km (9,942-mile) long voyage went according to plan and schedule, the company said.

At the Tyra field, Heerema’s crane vessel Sleipnir is now in position to lift the three topsides off the vessel and onto the jackets. Installation is expected to start next month.

Progress on the five remaining platforms continues per schedule to meet the first gas date in 2Q 2023, Noreco said.
