Unique, INNOVO form subsea, cable lay venture

Subsea contractor Unique Group has entered into a cooperation agreement with Aberdeen-based INNOVO, a developer of subsea and cable laying equipment which includes a powered drive system and a modular carousel system.

The two companies plan to offer sale and rental solutions jointly to the offshore and marine industries in the Middle East and Southeast Asia.

Sahil Gandhi, COO at Unique Group, said: “INNOVO is an established market leader with the best-in-quality cable laying equipment, modular jack-up systems, and pipeline repair systems.”

Stefano Malagodi, director of INNOVO, added: “With our collective engineering expertise and technical support skills we will be able to mobilise our systems for some major projects in the Middle East and Asia Pacific regions more efficiently.”
